September is here, which means we’ve officially entered our favorite “BER” months! While Eastern North Carolina may not have gotten the cooler-weather memo just yet, we’re ready for crisp mornings, changing leaves, pumpkins, football, fall festivals, and hopefully some cooler temperatures very soon! 🎃🍁

I’m Melissa C. Tafoya, a proud Eastern North Carolinian and lifelong Jacksonville resident. For more than 50 years, I’ve been blessed to call this community home.

As the daughter of a retired Marine and after spending 17 years as an educator in Onslow County, serving others has always been an important part of my life. Through coaching, my church, our community, and now insurance, I’ve had the privilege of continuing to do what I love—helping, educating, and protecting our neighbors.

My career may have changed from education to insurance, but my purpose remains much the same.

I opened my State Farm agency in Morehead City in 2016 and relocated to Jacksonville in 2019. Today, my incredible team and I are committed to providing personal service while helping our customers understand the coverage they choose.
